Mr. Wert leads North Carolina, National Markets, and Commercial Services Division operations. With more than 25 years of extensive industry experience, Mr. Wert has a deep understanding of industrywide challenges and initiatives and has a wide range of valuable knowledge and leadership skills related to operations management, information technology, business development, customer service, and risk management. Prior to joining Investors Title, Mr. Wert served in a variety of roles for a national underwriter and a large title company owned by Mr. Wert and his family. He acquired a wide range of title business experience early in his career that included title searching, plat mapping, commitment and policy production, and settlement services.
Mr. Wert is the chair for the American Land Title Association (ALTA) research and analytics committee and, as a member of the ALTA registry committee, was one of the primary initial designers of the ALTA registry program.
Mr. Wert earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in business administration and computer science from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration with concentration in business planning and strategy from Indiana University in Kokomo, Indiana.
